My name is Mason Floyd, and I am a sophomore at TCU studying political science and economics. I am from the Ozarks in Southwest Missouri, so while I enjoy learning, I prefer to spend most of my time outdoors--hiking, playing sports with friends, playing golf, or most importantly, cliff jumping in the summer. Because of this love for the outdoors, I enjoy listening to podcasts or music, reading books, or watching movies while taking in the scenery and fresh air of wherever I am located.
The 1960s have always been an interesting time period to me as a political science major, with so much happening in different aspects of life. Civil rights, war, and communism were at the forefront of most people's minds for most of the decade; this impacted society and culture of an entire generation. These impacts are seen in the 2010s in America in the political sphere, which can be viewed in my analysis under the "Television" page.
